I had a spare car seat, some wood and metal, so I cobbled this together. Works a treat for Dirt Rally 2.0 (free on PS Plus this month btw) and will do for Project Cars 2 and GT sport as well.

I really hope that that has some carpet on the bottom. If so, good work. I don’t use the clutch when playing video games, but I would probably like it more if it was a sim set up.
Let me guess on the seat: early 2000s BMW?

I should do something like this, but with a Crown Vic driver’s seat (full powered seat with power lumbar), for my space sim setup for Star Citizen.

E82 Sport Seat that I totally could have used for my 128i

That seat is actually in much better condition than you are likely to find that often. Kinda wonder why it isn’t for sale or already in another BMW by now before this project came up.

Excellent work!

There is indeed some floor protection on the bottom. I can slide it around as much as I like. And yea, seats from a 128i just like mine.

Great seats. I picked them up cheap on Kijiji with the intention of having them re-covered in cloth at some point. Did yours not have them? I thought it was a sport package slicktop just like mine.

These are the kind of fake leather that wears really well. I don’t actually like the feel of the material particularly but the adjustability of these seats is fantastic. I plan to get my spare set of seats re- covered in cloth at some point, i deally m-tech cloth from an e30 m3.

It was, but my left thigh bolster was cracked on my driver’s seat.

If it makes you feel any better, there’s a reason these were cheap:
...a
nd perfect for me to get them recovered.

I like these seats because they are so adjustable (10 way) and the only thing that’s power is the bolsters so I don’t need to hook up 12v for them to work here.

Ah, the common problem. If only cloth was an option here like it was in the rest of the world.

IDK about you, but I’m starting to lose it being inside....

I’m not inside all the time (farmer), which helps, but the restrictions are still annoying. I want to start mountain biking again but I don’t know if the trails are gonna be locked down.

My friend recently did the exact same thing with his 944 passenger seat.

I started shopping around for a wheel and seat set up. On the fence about going DIY or buying a frame and rig for it.
